Ti5 Robot Arm Review (Brushless motors, harmonic drive)
Ti5 Robot company contacted me to review their desktop robotic arm. I have agreed, in order to show you how it works. The robot arm is quite small, but powerful (1kg payload). Thanks to harmonic drive actuators it is also precise. I think it can be good arm to learn robotics, or for automation

Automating the laser engraver (Portable Laser Machine xTool F1 review) with the robot arm
Переглядів 6 тис.8 місяців тому
I have tested the xTool F1 laser engraver. I wanted to buy this engraver, but xTool company approached me and proposed to review it. I happily accepted it. I also tried to automate this laser engraver with the robot arm. And it works, but it requires some refinement. The jetson agx Orin, Can you test stable diffusion. And also a good video editing program like di Vinci. The ai suggest that you can run both on there. I have an old laptop and where as I’m not concerned with playing high end games it looks like this may be a good purchase to consider LLM running locally, stable diffusion, and general video editing 4k video for example.

Hello skyentific. Great work! I wanted some guidance from you. Currently Im working on the newer version of th3se motors ( GIM 8115-9 ) without a nucleo board (for firmware debug) I used an STlink instead. However, neither tera term nor SSCOM ( debugging software provided by the chinese company) are showing me the debugging settings ( for e.g m- motor mode etc) even though the stlink dongle is being recognized by my laptop. But unlike your plug and play. My tera term etc simply arent showing me the serial ports.please help me out. Or any one else who could help me with this?

Amber Robotics team, this is a final wake-up call, we backers have been patient with you enough. I urge you to do the right thing and start the deliveries for the kickstarter backers who have paid you their hard earned money through the Lucid L1 project on kickstarter, else you have lost your face in all the global markets from where your majority revenue comes. It will be a sad day to see a promising company go down because of sheer dishonesty and greed. Having said that i promise you we will make it our mission to bring peoples attention that your company has scammed the very community that invested and supported you to grow; we will ensure you will eventually face the justice.

Thank you for showing this. I have been investigating the same kind of problem with brushed DC motors and have been looking into how encoders perform. I think the problem here is depending on the encoders performance and how they are used. I can see, that at least some of the controllers, that you show, do use an encoder, but do they all three got an encoder? One step could be to record the encoder type on each case - I should like to know that. When you read the signal from a magnetic angle encoder, you need to be aware, that it measures the magnetic signal at its own measuring cycle with its own cycle time at about 100 us. This can create variations due to how you interpret time between two measured angles. When you read the angle with only a little time difference, then you will get a substantial relative noise in calculated difference angle of the two very close angles. I recorded a similar video of very low speed on a DC motor with another micromotor as encoder: ua-cam.com/video/Sp55jztsI80/v-deo.html

I mean, cool, but it is so easily back drivable, there is not way that could be practically used to exert force on anything. Unless the motor was freaking huge and could provide enough resistance to prevent it from being back driven, but this video fails to really demonstrate that.
